Tom,
1. Find the program you want to make a shortcut for. Example, to find
windows internet explorer, hit your windows key, go to programs, and find
internet explorer.
2. Press the applications key.
3. Arrow up to properties and hit enter.
4. You will be on the target path for internet explorer. Tab to create
shortcut and you can press alt-control-i to make that the hot key that
initiates Internet Exploreer.

Subject: off topic: setting up shortcut key combinations
Hi, all.
Hate to bug you guys on the list about this, but I am away from home, and
failed to bring my basic computer instruction cheat sheet. (grin)
Can someone quickly tell me how to make up short cut key combinations for a
given program.
For some reason, on this laptop, my alt control I shortcut for internet
explorer went away, and I want to re-instate it.
I just can't remember how to do it, although I know it's quite easy.
Sorry about this question, which I should know the answer to, but you know
how the brain gets when you are on vacation. (grin)
