well, it transmits 5 watts on 50-54MHZ...the FM receiver seems alright,
though I haven't really tested it other then within about 8 kilometers on
simplex, and the repeater about 20 kilometers from here is a real junker and
doesn't work even with 100 watts out of my ts2000 and a resonant antenna on
6...so all I can say is, its probably decent bassed on the 6M FM sensativity
specs and rejection and all that.
As for the stock antenna that comes with the radio, it has one of those
extensions that you screw on when you use 6M....probably really inefficient
and most likely has a terrible swr.
There are far better tri-band antennas that apparently work much better.
Beyond that, yes, it does work on 6 without anything extra having to be
done.
