I think these are the 2 main suppliers of Kenwood parts, but have no idea if 
they can help you:

If you can post to e-ham or something like that, maybe you can find someone 
with a dead supply who could let you have the needed part for a fraction of 
what new is going to cost, assuming that you can even find a new one.

be glad you didn't burn your fingers off. They are harder to find 
replacements for.
