well,, firstly, I'm waiting for vision australia to transcribe the 
manual into daisy format, so don't know if the 201 has a processor on board.
and I too, would have thought that running your tubes at a lower voltage 
would have some kind of effect on them. I'm just not sure it's a good 
one. because I suspect that the tuning procedure is as much matching the 
radio's impedance to that of your feed line as it is to get the maximum 
efficiency out of your tubes.
