Sorry I tried to take you down the wrong path. If you get the pc and radio
connected, you will never go back and kick yourself for not doing it
sooner. There should be no "interface" needed other than a serial cable and
selecting the radio in the software and being sure software parameters and
radio parameters are the same, such as baud, bits, etc. You could have it
running in 5 minutes.
Anyway, back to your original question. I don't remember how the N3FJP
screen is set up, but in WL when I put a new call in the entry windo the s/n
for that QSO comes up next to it. So the JAWS command of insert-up arrow
to read current line will speak "one seven six kilo bravo eight tango
yankee juliette" or whatever the number and call happen to be.
Hook it up Tom, you won't regret it. Just having freq and mode entered
automaticly is worth it.
