I convinced my YL, since she really doesn't like the connetations of XYL, to
become a ham less then a month after i got my ticket.
She's blind as well, so there are less issues surrounding antenna placement
then what i have heard from those with sited spouses.
She doesn't mind me having a 60 foot random wire strung up along the living
room, dining room and kitchen ceiling.
also, as long as an antenna is out of the general work or walking area, and
she won't trip on it, or otherwise have cause for adult utterences directed
at me, then she's happy to let me put antennas where ever I so desire.
She gets funny ideas of where to put antennas when they do inhibit her
demestic navigation though hi hi.
