Save the scanned image somewhere.  You can either run the Freedom Import printer 
to scan it, or open OpenBook and have it open the .pdf file from wherever you 
saved it.  When it opens it, it will attempt to recognize the image using the 
OCR settings.

I was wondering if anyone on the list can give me some suggestions as to how
to get openbook to look at a scanned image in a pdf document?
