I think you should get the newest latest elcraft just to let some of us know
how you like it. I believe you now have the option to purchase it in kit
form or fully assembled but I am certainly not an elcraft authority.

I'll bet you are right.
It probably doesn't read anything more than frequency and mode.
I have found that most of these modern transceivers are not that accessible.
Guess I could get someone to build me an Elecraft!
They seem to be accessible with either speech or CW output.
I had a Kenwood TS570 at one time and it spoke mode and frequency and mode.
I don't remember if the synthesizer spoke the menus on that rig.
Some of these radios will work with computer programs but who wants to be
hooked to a PC just to operate a ham rig!
