Garry:

I have previously used the Yaesu FL7000 which has the facility of putting an
external antenna switch onto it, with one input and four outputs. This is
connected to the 4 captive terminals on the back of the unit - I cannot now
recall if I needed an external power source, or if this was derived from the
amplifier.

I currently use the Yaesu VL1000 (otherwise known as the Quadra) which has
two antenna inputs, and 4 outputs integral to it.
It is superb, but a very expensive unit but I thought it was worth the money
as I probably won't need to replace it.
It also covers 6 metres.

Subject: Amplifiers

I am looking for a solid state no-tune amplifier for the HF bands that is
fairly accessible. I know some of you on the list have one or are
knowledgeable on the subject. I'm looking for any suggestions good or bad.
If you have or had one that you liked, if you could pass on the make, model,
and what website I could go to and look at specs and prices it would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary, N5GD
