Can anyone recommend a gluten-free generic for Zocor?

Zocor is not on my healthplan's preferred drug list, and the premium price is exorbitant.

Does anyone know if switching from Zocor to a generic effects absorption, the way thyroid meds work. I know you're not supposed to switch thyroid drugs or you have to tweak the doses all over again.

I get bloodwork done every three months because of both the thyroid meds and being on Zocor.

I keep trying milkthistle, thinking I'll be able to go off Zocor, which I only began a year ago, but for some reason I get an upset stomach on milkthistle.

Thanks.

Lin
