Hi folks,

I just came up with something that may be helpful for your Christmas
cookies, too. It's probably not an original idea, but I've never tried it
before:

I bought some beautiful decorated sugar cookies from a gluten free baker,
and could hardly wait to try one when I brought them home. But the first
one I tried was so dry as to almost parch the mouth as gluten free cookies
so often are. By chance, there in my fruit bowl was a lemon.... so I put
the cookies in their opened package in a big Ziploc bag with the lemon and
left them overnight. The next day the cookies were softer and moister and
had a delightful lemon flavor. Now, this wouldn't work on something that
you wouldn't want to taste like lemon, but it might work for a lot of
different things. Happy holidays!

Mary
