Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about malt extract flavoring. With virtual consensus, everyone says to avoid any foods having malt flavoring. Though malt, I'm told, may come from various sources (e.g., corn and rice), if not specifically labeled as such, we celiacs must assume the flavoring source is barley, a no-no for us. Several folks said there are GF rice crispie products available, but none says they taste as good as Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
