I was recently at a dinner at Calabria Restaurant & Pizzeria at 588
S. Livingston Ave. in Livingston, NJ.
Since I was told that only 3 entrees were available, all with plenty
of gluten in them, I thought I would be having salad for my entire
meal.
It was a pleasant surprise when the waiter told me that gluten free
pizza and pasta were available. It was not on the menu or the
restaurant's website.
I had the pizza and it was quite good; similar to the pizza at
Risotteria in NYC. I have gone back for another gluten free pizza.
It's nice to know that a mainstream Italian restaurant is doing
something about the dearth of food for us celiacs.
