It is Girl Scout Cookie sale time around here, and while my 7-year old daughter
is a second year Brownie selling cookies, she isn't able to eat them! I sent an
email to the Girl Scout Cookie baking company, ABC Bakers, to inquire as to
whether there were any plans in the works to create a gluten-free or allergen-
free cookie. Here is the response I received:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding gluten free and wheat free products. Our
Research & Development department is constantly working on new products
and ways to make the Girl Scout cookies that are good for everyone. I will
pass your comments along and hopefully something will come out in the future.

I was just thinking, if more people expressed an interest in an allergen-free
cookie (like Enjoy Life cookies, free from all of the eight major allergens)
maybe they would come out with something sooner, rather than later. Here is
their email address: [log in to unmask]
