FOR ALL YOU TURKEYS OUT THERE!!

It won't be long until the day of judgment in Turkeyville ... Life is
NOT complicated for the average turkey ... BUT ... today I want to
take time and recognize those turkeys who make a difference during
years of Oppressive existence in Turkeydom.

Along with Rick Warren and the Purpose Driven Life movement, there is
the clear message for a Purpose Driven Poultry. A turkey's life need
not be reduced,
choosing what wine should be served at their funerals (aka
Thanksgiving dinner). While the major media markets will not tell us
the whole story which makes
the movies Hostel and Saw look like fairy tales, it is important to
know the REST OF THE STORY. Though I get up every morning and thank
God I AM NOT A
TURKEY, I still do not want to go through my life being apathetic or
prejudiced to any man, woman, or fowl.

TV and News coverage of Thanksgiving focuses on parades, and
afternoon football games, and continues to look the other way on what
this day means to turkeys.

Reporting is clearly as biased and agenda driven for turkeys as it is
when covering Republicans, (the other white meat) in the upcoming elections.

So where can a fella go to learn the truth? The Back Pew of course.
It is not just because I have been called a turkey by my own wife
from time to time
(what does that mean?), it is because my life is driven by a
relentless pursuit of truth. To stand up for the oppressed, and I
continue to feel compassion
and empathy for any man woman or fowl that is at a high risk to be
stuffed with bread crumbs.

Please join me in this Thanksgiving preview, where maybe, after
learning more in the Back Pew, you will appreciate turkeys that have
gone on before more than
the fact that they taste great with gravy and mashed potatoes.

There was the Turkey who much like Martin Luther King HAD A DREAM.

There is the legend of William Warbler and his courageous fight for freedom.

There were the peaceful protests of Gandhi Gobbler. ...

Now while these are all undeniably great turkeys (is that an
oxymoron) which could inspire a great movement of turkeys not willing
to accept their annual
November journey to Farmer Brown and his friend, Mr. Axe. This is a
crusade of pride and dignity and defiance, even though they have that
goofy looking skin
thingy hanging from their chins.

So today with Thanksgiving being just around the corner ... join me
in appreciation for those great Turkeys of years gone by, for the
lessons we can learn from their dreams of being more than the main
course that last Thursday in November.

So ... *DRUM ROLL* don't be a turkey. Dream big, pray big, and live a
life where God is your source for your life today, and for all your
dreams. And in
the end GIVE THANKS.

One more TURKEY SURVIVORS, SMOKED TURKEY, SICK TURKEYS, and finally,
LOW CARB TURKEYS.

Gobble, gobble.
