Sorry, never even seen a TS-480. My HF rig is a K2, and as  said, I  
haven't noticed anything objectionable with this supply and my K2.

BTW...the JTPS28 (28 amp surge/25 amp continuous) is $79, and he  
JTPS45 (45 amps surge, 40 amps continuous) is $149 at R&L. These guys  
mak a supply with battery backup that I find intriguing.
