    Well it was uhm, simple.  See, I use a BookPort and when I connect it to 
the computer via USB, it must be turned off.

    So, uh, I am in the habit of making sure its off which I did NOT need to 
do when programming the radio.  Sigh.  So after I relaxed and watched a good 
movie tonight, my mind was clear.  LOL
