Ok, I get what you are saying here, but let me try to state my concern a 
little more clearly.

I have one large memory list for VHF, and a smaller one for 440.

I find it easiest to arrange the list according to the locations of 
repeaters throughout various regions of our state.

There are a couple of new links to a linked repeater system that I want to 
add to the list, and I'm trying to figure out a way to do this, without 
having to re-do everything after the new entries.

Is this helping, or am I just confusing things further.

Even at my age, I guess the brain could tolerate another way to organize the 
memories;  it's just that doing them by location has always made the most 
amount of sense to me so far.
