I agree.  I use to sell Kenwood and it was at least as good.  Motorola 
does make some bottom end stuff that is pure junk.  Their cb radios were 
one of the worst I ever worked on.  They do make some good stuff, you do 
pay for the name though and the name doesn't guarantee it is good.
