I'm glad you mention this, Lynne. As we speak, I'm processing my latest
data on the accessibility of SLIS web sites (all 55 library schools in
the US and Canada). They will be available shortly. I will make these
public (on the web and in a published article), broken down by the
individual institutions--in addition to mailing letters to SLIS
directors and SLIS web designers. This may be one way to bring the issue
of barrier-free online resources to the attention of those who train the
next generation of librarians.

This is a wonderful discussion, and I want to add only one thing: I
think ALA et allies should also campaign for all library studies
programs across the country to include disability services and
adaptive technologies in their curriculum...this is another way to
increase the choir from the start.
