Periodically, the topic of weather via email comes up on this list.  Here is a new service in this regard that some may be interested in done in conjunction with WunderGround.com.

WGN-AM is offering a new service for its listeners: personalized weather alerts and
information sent via e-mail. You choose how often, when & what information is sent
to your inbox, featuring the all new WGN Radio WeatherCenter forecasts and any emergency
weather alerts.

I tested this out for U.S. and Canadian locations; and it appears that it should work for all locations in the Wunderground.com database.
One can subscribe for multiple locations so you can track weather for many places simultaneously.  
What info is received for each location is customizable via checkboxes.  

I would guess that Wunderground is either currently or planning to offer this service through other media loutlets in addition to WGN Radio.

For those of you who prefer receiving your weather via email, this may be exactly what the doctor ordered.




www.chitownradio.com also notes that WGN, in order to build up a subscriber database, is giving away a Bose Radio to some lucky individual.
