This list is hosted by ICORS for free. One of ICORS' rules is
listowners must enforce a minimum quoting of prior articles. As a
founder of this list, and still a listowner, I feel obligated to
start enforcing this rule.
One rarely has to quote more than a sentence or two. If there is only
one discussion taking place no quoting would be needed at all. When
in doubt don't quote, just paraphrase what you are responding to.
Additionally, if you want to thank someone, please e-mail them your
thanks privately and not to the 266 active subscribers to this list.
30% of the list subscribers receive the postings in Digest format.
The digest format has problems if you compose your post in Microsoft
Word and then past into your e-mail software. Some of these can be
overcome if you tell Word to not change your quotes, apostrophes, etc
to non-ASCII characters.
Don.
