Ok, two questions as the subject line says.  

First, has anyone messed with any linux based packet software?  

The second question is a bit off topic.  I'm switching internet providers this weekend and want to change the e-mail address for this list.  Is there a command that I can send to the server via a message to do this task?  I'd appreciate any help on either subject.
