The cobra ultralight seems to be the new trend in good multi band antennas,
I hear it's better than the G5RV, I know it's a lot lighter. I have one in
the closet and am looking forward to trying it. It's kind of expensive to me
and looks very easy to build from the little bit I looked at mine, but it
supposedly is good from 10 to 160 and looking at reviews and what people
tell me about it who have it, it's a good antenna, made right in NH and the
tech support is incredible, you email the guy with questions and you get a
response in a few hours with the answer and if you can't do what you want to
do and asked about he'll come up with other ideas to try to help. Like I
say, the antenna doesn't look like much, but everyone I know who uses one
swears by it and those that have compared it with a G5RV say it beats it
noticeably everywhere.
