This is a Clinton fairy tale because Race certainly is a factor.
There is a flat out divide between blacks and Hispanics. It would be
the obverse were Obama a Latino seeking the black vote.
Few Latina/o leaders support Obama. Even Maxine Waters, a black
woman Rep/Super Delegate with a large Latina/o constituency, won't
support Obama. There's a long history of racial tension between
Blacks and Latin Americans. Look at Vincente Fox and how blacks are
treated in Mexico. Mexico exports some the most vicious racially
stereotypical children's entertainment on the planet. Venezuela
has . Texas has a tradition of animosity in its farm country. In
urban California, the hate follows futureless men back and forth from
the hood to prison. Race is a factor.
This is such a shame because if the two groups could get over this
stuff, instead of being insulted by who didn't invite whom to stand
on their stage, and unite around common issues, they would be
formidable. It seems that may be a possibility in Texas.
Regards,
John
