2007 PAN AFRICAN TRADE & INVESTMENT SUMMIT
INFORMATION SHEET
OCTOBER 4TH – 6TH, 2007
 
 
Name of Event: The Pan African Trade & Investment Summit
 
Dates: October 4th through October 6th 2007
 
Venue: The University of Minnesota, Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs
 
Theme: Trade and Investment Opportunities in Africa
 
Mission/Purpose: 
 
1. To give African countries and individual companies from Africa an opportunity to showcase their trade and investment opportunities.
2. To give American companies an opportunity to explore trade and export opportunities in Africa.
3. To give Africa a chance to present itself as the investment destination of the future. 
4. To give the event sponsors an opportunity to market their products and services.
5. To give participants an opportunity to network and share ideas and opportunities on trade, business and investment.
 
Format
 
1. Participating countries and individual companies will have a booth to provide country specific or company specific information and present trade and investment packages.
2. There will be breakout sessions and seminars where expert speakers will speak on specific topics, trade and investment opportunities.
3. Cocktail sessions to provide an opportunity for networking.
4. On each day there will be a plenary session where all will participate with a key note address.

2) The Roy Wilkins Center of the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the
 University of Minnesota,
