Hmmm, Collin,

I don't know about JFW and Win 98.  After 6.2, they stopped supporting Win 98, 
although it may work with the older version unofficially.

yes, but any new version of JFW, not sure about  window eyes will work on
98.
Its when you try to use anything before JFW402 i think on xp that doesn't
work.
I suspect that jaws9 still has original jfw2.0 code in it that is just
dormant.
I have never used window eyes so i can't speak to GW micro's practices.
