I find all of this quite (considerably) disturbing. Not to be political, but it seems Obama was sold as the "people's candidate" - the candidate that was going to look out for the little guy. And, our illustrious Congress was supposed to be in his corner. This "one size fits all" attitude seems to be the antithesis of that (IMHO).
