Thank you all - I bit the bullet and started taking the antibiotic. Not only
was the crowned tooth above the extracted tooth hurting worse by the hour,
but the pain started spreading to my ear, the socket of the extracted tooth,
and to my chin. I also had trouble bending over because it made the pain
worse. Today the pain is tolerable so I guess it was/is an infection after
all. I hope I can find a good probiotic that I can tolerate.

However, once the tooth with the root canal was extracted (Monday this week)
the pain in my head, upper back, and calves, which I had had daily since
6/15/2007, completely went away and has not returned. It's amazing...

Thanks again,
Kristina

Garlic. Raw.

When I want to use garlic to the max, I chop it up fine and swallow it
with liquid, at meal time. This gets raw garlic into my system, partly
broken up without chewing, and with minimal effect on the breath. I do
it at meal time to make it easier on my stomach.

Of course, to attack the exterior of the gums, you would need some in
your mouth. I do this sometimes if I have a "cold" or "virus", whatever
they are called this year.
