well you are right about them being necessary, but,
they can be a pain at times. i majored in accounting
and if i'd stayed in the field, i'd have wanted to be
an auditor. the joke about them not reproducing came
from my auditing professor. so i take the liberty of
saying they can be a pain. it would have been okay if
i were the one being a pain. actually refusing to
write a program in the cdc finance system that would
not stop violations of some accounting principles kept
me from being promoted. i was removed from being lead
analyst on a system becouse i would write the program
only if the top manager gave me orders in writing and
stating that i had objected and informed them that
they were violating the brooks law and generally
accepted accounting principles. so shortly after i
retired they got cought and a few heads rolled at the
cdc. i guess i'd have been okay as an auditor.
and yes i agree that we do get to wandering off the
subjects and i am as bad as anyone. i have tried to
avoid iraq and bush lately. we have definately had
some bad strategy but, then again, i do not think we
can afford to lose now. i can't see any president,
even hillery, actually getting out. maybe especially
hillery. if i had the answer, i'd be running, but, i
do not even have many of the questions much less the
answers.
