I don't have one so, this is from the neighbors view point. My neighbor
just recently got a cochlear implant, he's had hearing problems all his life
so, has never heard correctly his whole life so, his experience may be
different than yours. He's also received only the minimal amount of
training on it. Overall, his impression is positive, getting used the
metalic sound is odd, also, he still has a lifetime habit of trying to
listen with his better ear so, hasn't mastered bilateral listening and his
brain is taking time to adjust.
