Hi Chris,
There is an adapter. It's called the MJ-88. I use one here on the 480 with
excellent results. The one thing you have to do with them is find someone
with the ability to crimp on RJ-45 connectors. You need to reverse the
wires on pins 3 and 5, if I remember correctly, and this required taking off
the old RJ-45 and crimping on a new one. Luckily, I had a friend who was
good at that sort of stuff. The reason for this reversal is that the 480
has the mic and system ground reversed from other Kenwood radios.
