That may work for you, John, but here, for example, Cox cable provides a
free DVR for anyone subscribing to digital cable. But as far as I have been
able to determine, the blind can't use it. So that leaves us with using a
VCR which in turn means putting the digital box on the channel we wish to
record robbing us of the freedom to record whatever channel we want while we
are out. So there are accessibility issues. For the most part, I don't
care for the offerings of commercial broadcasting on either radio or TV
myself.
