    Lou:

That's a good question, although a quick inspection of the antenna yesterday
didn't seem to indicate any such problems.

I'm going to have to wait till warmer and calmer weather to really check
things out thoroughly, since we're going to get a good 4 to 8 inches of
wind-driven snow today.

As for SWR readings once the antenna is tuned, I'm not sure how best to take
those. My talking SWR meter is put in line between the rig and the antenna,
so I guess I'd have to get sighted assistance to get the SWR readings from
the meters on the TS480 or IC746 once the auto-tuner has done its thing.
All I know is that the G5RV tunes very well now on 40 meters, which it
didn't do when I had the ladder-line in the strange horizontal position I
described several days ago. Also, both the 746 and TS480 put out a little
over 100 watts, once the G5 has been tuned by the auto-tuner.
