Hi.

It would be interesting to see if the radio shows the same behavior when 
going into the dummy load with the auto tuner switched out.  I've noticed a 
phenomenon, which I don't quite understand, where putting an auto tuner in 
line will sometimes cause a radio to roll back the power even when the SWR 
looks good.  And, on my Kenwood TS690S, on 10 meters, it rolls the power 
back even on a good load UNLESS I switch the auto tuner in!  There sure 
seems to be some goofy things that go on that the instrumentation doesn't 
always reveal.
