most of the same audio settings used on the ts570 apply to the 2000.
I think the 2000 has one extra level setting for the processor, but that's
all.
On FM you want medium if you talk fairly loudly, or high if you talk in a
normal to slightly lower then normal voice on the radio.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if you do use the processor on HF,
remember to turn it off when you switch to the right hand side on vhf or uhf
because it'll apply to those as well.
You'll also find that the VHF/UHF audio is far better when you use the left
hand side of the radio to operate.
The right hand side just doesn't have the clerity and depth that the left
does...I don't know why that is, but it seems to be true.
I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the dsp is active on the
vhf and UHF bands on the left side of the rig, and right side has no
adjustable dsp.
Also, if you are in vfo mode on the right hand side, be very careful of the
sub VFO since it is extremely sensative and can throw you off by 5KC's with
hardly a touch.
