Hi Tom,
When you get your Kenwood up and running please report back to this list.

I'm going to Dayton this next year and still may get one of those rigs and 
just reduce the power for my apartment situation.

The other radio I'm looking at seriously is the Vertex VX1210 manpack radio.

Only 25 watts output and seems simple to operate.

The radio isn't cheap. Just saw a price of around $1500 discounted from a 
dealer in Washington.

I'm still also considering the Ten-Tec and programming it via a computer.

Decisions, decisions!
