That's why just about every hamfest I've been to has table after table
with old stuff.  In the digital state of Michigan there are hams getting
rid of old scanners that used crystals, and I guess they would work if you
could find something other then weather to listen to.    Some have had ham
repeater crystals instaled surprisingly, bu it is still amazing to see all
the old boat ankers.
