I'm very happy with my Jetstream supply, which is 28 amps peak and i
think 25 continuous. Its fan is very quiet and I haven't noticed
appreciably more noise than with other supplies. Besides your standard
binding posts, there is a cigarette lighter plug on the front and low-
current spring terminals on the back, the sort of thing you're likely
to see where you connect stereo speakers to your stereo. The 28-amp
version costs about $80 plus shipping. They also make a 45-amp (peak)
version as well. Among he best prices I've seen for these has been
from R&L Electronics. This supply (the 28-amp version anyway) is very
small and lightweight. In fact, I'd say it's perfect for an emergency
go kit as far as size and weigh go. I can defnitely see slinging this
and a K2 in a bag with some sort of portable antenna and going. .
