taking all issues and factors into consideration, the ts2000 is the better
of the two radios hands down.
Not bassed on opinion, but bassed on facts.
Weather it suits a persons needs, preference or budget are completely
separate issues then weather the ts2000 is better or weather the ts480 is
better.
If you want to spend less, then buy the 480.  If you want more features,
functions and all around better performance, buy the ts2000.
I suspect that there are major budget considerations here and that is why
the topic continues.
If there were no budget considerations, then the 2000 would be the obvious
choice for anyone.
If there are space considerations, then the ts480 would be an obvious
choice.
If you can be satisfied with less, but adequit, then the 480.  If you want
as much as you can get and maintain a reasonable level of accessibility,
then the 2000.

Your comparing a honda civic to a porche here and expecting there to be some
reasonable comparison...sure, they're both cars that have 4 tires and an
engine with a steering wheel and seats....but you can't compare them beyond
that without bringing all sorts of unrelated issues that end up undermining
the comparison anyway.
In my mind, its always a better idea to have the most you can have within
your budget, rather then have the minimum requirement.
