Over the years, I have owned many radios, and at the moment, I am very 
satisfied with the 480.  I own two of them both versions.  While I admit the 
Icoms I have had in the past, including the 756-pro-3 were excellent 
performers, I am completely satisfied with these Kenwood models.  Been a ham 
for 53 years and now I want feedback about the condition of the various 
settings in my radio.  If your desire is to have the best performance rather 
than feedback, you might look at other models.
