Hi Fred.

It's been a while since I've used it, but I thought that A switched between 
the two VFOs, B switched between VFO and meory, I don't remember what C 
does, but D will operate the speech board on some radios.  The 
functionality for the D key isn't supported on the IC706 series of radios, 
but I understand it works on the 746 series.

I'll look around and see if I can lay my hands on documentation and if so 
I'll send it to you.
