The essence of being greedy and selfish is that they don't care. It isn't
a question of understanding--they actively choose to ignore the facts that
don't benefit them.
And with campaign financing being what it is, the real truth is that
Corporate America casts the only votes that really count. And, by the way,
in case you think I'm bashing the conservatives (guilty conscience?), it is
a fact that Corporate America owns both parties, but each party caters to a
different freak show.
There! That is my view of American politics!
