IC-275 is a good one too, I had one for a while but they're very big $$$ 
still when you can find them, you can find a used 706 for less or similar. 
Granted the 275 has a better front end in it and is not as broad banded but 
if you're not in a high RFI prone area, you'd probably do just as well with 
the 706
