Ray's web site when it was up was www.neanderthin.com.
Now when you go to that site it redirects to another web site.
This web site: http://www.sofdesign.com/neander/ is a sub page on a web site for a consulting and web design company.
Perhaps they did the original web site for Ray and this was a mock-up page for testing. Perhaps they were hired to do a redesign and then the project was abandoned.
WhoIs.net says the contact info for www.neanderthin.com contact information is protected by: Contactprivacy.com.
I asked someone with Cordain's group if he knows what happened to Ray and the reply was:
"Hi,
We haven’t heard from Ray in many
years. I do know he was a smoker (at least at one time) and had some
personal issues – hopefully he is doing well."
