A late comment. I have pretty much stopped eating commercial nuts. I
found that something in them was acting similar to wheat for me and
giving me migraines. Stopping the nuts helped a lot.
They were the common sort of mixed nuts, so it could have been any one
of the nuts, or some other factor such as the processing, roasting,
age, contamination. Peanuts don't seem to bother, and the raw walnuts
and hickory nuts I pick up from the ground seem OK too, but I don't
eat those in any great volume.
