I have had a problem ever since I migrated to outlook express a couple of 
years ago.  When I deleted messages, they didn't appear in the deleted items 
mailbox like they are supposed to.  I just realized that the size of the 
file was very big and didn't change.  Since I have a backup of my outlook 
express folder, I deleted the deleeteditems mail box.
I ran Outlook express, it created the mailbox, I deleted two messages and 
looked in the deleeteditems mailbox, there they are.  After trying 
everything I could think of, and asking everybody I knew, and re-installing 
IE which installs Outlook express according to info I found on the web, 
there is the answer.
So if any of you have the same problem there is the answer.
