Hi Anthony,
Someone on this list has told me that the 480 is a little bit more verbal in 
its accessibility so will probably go with that rig.

Since I plan to operate close to qrp the 2000 may have more bells and 
whistles than I need right now.

I suppose I could wait and get the upcoming Elecraft k3 that should be 
coming out soon.

It's now available as a factory built rig besides being a kit.
