So far, numerous listmates have said that they've had many barium swallows without a gluten problem.
Just about everyone said drink lots of water afterwards because otherwise, it blocks up the colon and causes constipation. Another said take a laxative afterwards. (Anyone have a recommended laxative?)
One person said they react to aspartame in some barium brands, so check the ingredients if you have any of those types of reactions.
I was able to get through to a technician at the radiology place. She read the ingredients to me, and it all sounded safe...well, as safe as that kind of stuff can be. She also knew of other people with celiacs who came through their office and used it without saying they reacted.
Thanks for all the support. Hopefully, all this will prove is that my flukey bloodtest results are just that...flukes.
