Vanessa Maltin, the director of outreach and programming for the National
Foundation for Celiac Awareness, will be the featured speaker.
Vanessa Maltin wrote Beyond Rice Cakes: A Young Person's Guide to Cooking,
Eating & Living Gluten-Free. The book offers hilarious first-person tales of
the trials and tribulations associated with celiac disease. More
importantly, it guides newly diagnosed people with celiac disease—especially
young persons—through managing a healthy gluten-free diet that is easy and
fun to maintain.
Gluten free foods will be available for tasting and purchase.
